Winter 2006 Artist in Residence - Lacey Pipher Installation January 5th - January 30th, 2006 Exhibition February 9th - February 25th, 2006
	The installation will explore, define, and recreate the space in which it exists. I will build it by reacting to and investigating the site using a chosen set of materials, and their natural properties. I will push long lengths of wood into the nook, allowing them to flow freely, while spontaneously manipulating and supporting the shape using cables. The result will be a delicate, almost weightless form that still holds the energy, motion, and tension of the process by which it was created. - Lacey Pipher
