Around the Coyote is pleased to present its 20th Annual Fall Arts Festival in Wicker Park. Around the Coyote will present over 100 artists working in a variety of disciplines: visual artists working with painting, drawing, and photography; as well as performing artists working with poetry, music, film, video, and new media. The Fall Arts Festival exhibits in unique venues such as vacant storefronts to bring a sense of vitality to otherwise forgotten spaces. Our festival presents the best of the vibrant emerging art scene in Chicago at a pricepoint that is accessible for any art buyer.

2009 Spring Festival
May 29-31, 2009

Around the Coyote's 2009 Spring Arts Festival is a multi-disciplinary event that will feature a select group of the best in Chicago’s emerging arts, including visual artists’  and independent art spaces’ booths, a film and new media lounge, music, and theatre performances . This festival will also mark the debut of Around the Coyote’s new offices and exhibitions space at the Splat Flats, located at 1815-25 W Division St., in Wicker Park.





Fall 2008
At Plumbers Hall
October 17-19, 2008

After 19 years in Wicker Park , Around the Coyote is moving its fall emerging art festival to the WEST LOOP . Because of our constant efforts to expand and improve our services to artists, Around the Coyote has found a beautiful new venue for its 2008 Fall Arts Festival in one of Chicago 's most vibrant art neighborhoods - The West Loop. Plumbers' Hall ( 1340 W. Washington Blvd ) will house VISUAL ARTISTS' BOOTHS as well as our LITERARY readings, FILM screenings, MUSIC and THEATRE performances. Some of the country's best undiscovered painters, sculptors, photographers, installation artists, printmakers, filmmakers, actors, performance artists, musicians and poets will exhibit, sell and perform their work - all under one roof.



Spring 2008 at Looptopia
May 2-4, 2008

Thousands of art collectors, enthusiasts, and visitors will converge on Chicago's loop as Around the Coyote joins forces with Looptopia! Each year, hundreds of painters, photographers, sculptors, actors, performance artists, poets, and filmmakers participate in our festivals for the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work to visitors from the United States and abroad. This year we are pleased to offer a festival that will kick off on May 2nd in correlation with Looptopia, one of Chicago's newest cultural celebrations which drew over 200,000 people last year!



ATC Select
March 7-9, 2008

Around the Coyote SELECT is a showcase of some of the most auspicious visual artists Around the Coyote is currently working with. Over 50 artists will be shown throughout the Flatiron Arts Building (1579 N. Milwaukee) in addition to open artists' studios, lectures and tours on art, and readings of some of Chicago's best new plays. The purpose of this weekend-long event is to bring community support and awareness to the numerous new and emerging visual artists in our city.



Fall 2007
October 12-14, 2007

At Around the Coyote, change is good. That's why we have decided to move our festival to October - that's October 12- 14th, to be exact - smack dab in the middle of Chicago Artists Month! But that's not all -- in our constant effort to make our festivals reflect the newest and most outstanding emerging art in Chicago, Around the Coyote has hired a new team of curators to bring an even more dynamic lineup of theatre events, literary performances, live music shows, film and video presentations, and special visual arts projects. We are also continuing our efforts to diversify the nature of our festival's offerings, with new initiatives in interdisciplinary performance, installation and public art projects including site-specific outdoor installations at the Nelson Algren Triangle at the intersection of Milwaukee and Division Aves.

February 9-11, 2007

Join us February 9th, 10th, and 11th, 2007 as thousands of art collectors, dealers, and visitors will converge on the Bucktown and Wicker Park neighborhoods of Chicago in one of the city's most interesting celebrations of the arts. Each year, hundreds of painters, photographers, sculptors, actors, performance artists, poets, and filmmakers participate in this unique opportunity to exhibit and sell their work to visitors from the United States and abroad. Our festival brings together neighborhood galleries, schools and non-profit arts organizations under one umbrella with private art studios and local businesses which, for the weekend, transform themselves into public galleries. In addition to the visual art exhibitions, neighborhood theaters and bars host performances both impromptu and scheduled throughout the weekend.

Winter 2006
February 10-12, 2006

Around the Coyote, one of ChicagoÕs most diverse non-profit emerging arts organizations is gearing up for their 7th Winter Arts Festival to be held this February 9-12 in Wicker Park/Bucktown. This year the festival focuses on artists working with experimental or new media including kinetic art, performance, video, installation, and conceptual art in the hopes of providing access to the Chicago community for these often under-exhibited artists. More traditional media including painting, sculpture and photography will also be exhibited.
